Affectionately known as SoCoFoSo, the Folk Society is a non-profit educational organization that promotes the knowledge and performance of traditional and contemporary folk music. Moreover, it's a congenial association of those who play, dance, and listen to and appreciate roots music ranging from the earliest of rural fiddle tunes through bluegrass and country music, blues, Cajun, celtic, and even middle eastern music, up to the singer songwriters of today who are keeping the folk music tradition alive.
This is an all volunteer organization and operates by it's members taking responsibility for making things happen, as is evidenced by the annual "Sonoma County Bluegrass and Folk Festival", the monthly video taping and showing of"Santa Rosa City Limits" and other sponsored events during the year.
The SCFS board meets once a month and all members are invited to submit any ideas they may have to further the cause of folk music or to volunteer or assist in any Folk Society events.
Want to join? That's easy!!! Annual dues for singles are $10.00 and $15.00 for families.

Here's What you will receive:
